Sandia Mountain Rainbow, New Mexico
Sandia Mountain Rainbow on the way to Tunnel Spring, New Mexico 1997

It may be hard to believe, but not so long ago, one could drive a short way out of Albuquerque into the Sandia Mountains, and find drinking water from a mountain spring. I took this photograph on my last trip to Tunnel Spring.

The photograph reminds me of those great summer storms that sweep the desert summer landscape, and replentish it by returning water.

Entropy, is not a term that comes easily to mind in New Mexico.

The cycle of life does.

The flowing return,

on the gesture of offering.

-

It's very clear

there,

like the light

after

a

summer

storm.
